Replacing the site’s jQuery animations with standalone CSS3 animations.

As CSS transitions become viable, I’ve been updating my jQuery animations to full CSS transitions and animations. Here, I’m working out the jumping arrow indicator at the footer.

One interesting twist is that the delay property only pertains to the initial firing. But I don’t want the element to bounce incessantly—only on occasion to not be so distracting. My solution? Just keep the animation running for a few seconds in the same position to give the impression of delay.
